Life Alert – Help With Caring For Aging Relatives

Posted by The Glamorous WAHM on June 13, 2009

brickalertYears ago after my grandfather passed, my grandmother lived alone.  After bouts with health issues she developed an issue where, she would black out at any moment.  At one point she blacked out in the kitchen and fell against her stove, breaking the vertebrae in her back.  I only wish we would have had Life Alert back then.

I can only imagine how she must have felt when she came to and realized what happened.  Fortunately she was able to get up and call for help, but what if she had not been able to move and couldn’t reach the phone for help?  With Life Alert you never have to worry about that happening to your aging family member who lives alone.

Life Alert features:

*Intruder Alarm

*No Activity Alert

*Live Personal Reminders & Caring Personal Assistant

*Call For Help

*Answering The Phone

*Fall Alert

All of the features from Life Alert allow you to feel secure about your aging loved one that lives alone.

Posted by The Glamorous WAHM on June 10, 2009

9and5ozglass2Thanks to Mom Fuse I have had the pleasure of reviewing a Soy Delite candle.  I received the ginger lemon grass scent and it is absolutely wonderful!  I burn it while I’m taking a shower and come out to the most pleasant smell.  Not to mention that, it’s eco-friendly too!

From the site: Our soy candles are handmade in Austin, Texas using 100% natural soybean wax and cotton wicks. Every soy candle is handpoured to ensure the utmost quality with an artistic touch. We offer an array of scents and styles to choose from, including tealights, votives, travel tins, and our signature glasses. At Soy Delites, we strive to make not only incredibly aromatic and clean burning candles, but we hope to give you a visually stunning and beautiful experience.
Just don’t forget to turn out the lights!

Yanni Voices – The Glamorous WAHM Spends a Night With a Gorgeous Greek a Latin Lover and a Smooth Brazilian

Posted by The Glamorous WAHM on June 4, 2009

Thanks to the One2One Network, my husband and I had the great honor of attending Yanni Voices live.  It was by far the most amazing, live, musical performance I have ever experienced.  Yanni’s performance along with his vocalists and orchestra members, ecompassed every form of entertainment ones heart could desire.

It was majestic, sensual, romantic, soul stirring, funky and even funny at times.  There was not an area on his stage where I could look and not be entertained. Each song performed moved me in its own special way. Chloe’s chloe song “Change” moved me to tears. Y’all know The Glamorous WAHM can have some strong emotions. Not to mention the sexy solo dance she performed which, I’m sure had all of the men in the audience hot under the collar, to include my husband! =)  But that’s okay because, when

Ender Thomas ender-thomas-2 hit the stage, he was a latin storm raining down passion, romance, masculinity, and sensuality all over the women in the audience.  His voice was smooth and romantic, as well as strong and commanding.  Here is a video of his passionate performance of “Desire.”

nathanpachecoNathan Pacheco is a Pavarotti on the make with his strong operatic vocal skills.  He is an astounding Brazilian tenor!

leslieLeslie Mills was just a baby doll.  I enjoyed every song she sang.  Her voice is so unique, amlost baby-like.  She was smooth and confident and I actually would have liked to have seen more of her in the show.

yanni_voices_main Yanni, as brilliant as ever! I have always been familiar with Yanni but, I had never really sat and listened to his music. He is no doubt a genius. It was amazing to watch him play. It was even more amazing to be able to see the passion that he has for his music. It seemed almost orgasmic. Uh oh, did I go to far? If I did, I apologize but that is honestly how I perceived his enjoyment.

We also had the honor of meeting Ender, Chloe, and Leslie after the show. They were all down to earth and I enjoyed our conversations. My husband had a little fun speaking Spanish with Ender and, I was able to practice my Spanish when we ran into Yanni’s Brazilian harp player and his conga player outside of the arena.

It was a night I will NEVER forget. Absolutely glamtabulous! Enjoy this last video of the Yanni Voices finale.

THIS CONTEST HAS ENDED.  THE WINNER HAS BEEN EMAILED.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION.

Who doesn’t love getting a massage or going to the spa?  What if you could combine massage oil with the wonderful scent of a spa candle and create a glamorous body lotion or massage oil?  The Scandle Candle does exactly that.

The Scandle Candle is a soy candle that melts into a wonderful body lotion suitable for skin care or as a soothing massage lotion.  One night my husband had a headache due to very sore shoulder and neck muscles.  I burned the Scandal Candle while he showered and gave him a very warm soothing massage with the oil from the candle.  Let’s just say he slept VERY well that night!

One of the things I love about the Scandle Candle is that it doesn’t take much oil to give a soothing massage.  Just a drop or two goes a very long way.  The scent of the candle is very relaxing and is not strong or overwhelming like some candles.

FROM THE SITE: The Scandle Body Massage Candle is a fragrant hand-poured body massage candle that, when burned, melts to create a healthy body massage oil that can be used to enhance the healthy of your skin. Not only, is The Scandle Body Massage Candle healthy for your skin, but it is also healthy for the environment…emitting less soot and toxins into the environment than parrafin candles.

A Mother’s Day Remembered

Posted by The Glamorous WAHM on May 11, 2009

flowersI hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!  I know I did!  My family gave me wonderful gifts and cards. I had friends come in from out of town that, I haven’t seen in almost five years.  It was a truly blessed day.  The husband and I had a great time together.  It felt like the “us” I’m used to!  How was your day blessed yesterday?  Did you receive beautiful Mothers Day flowers?  Spend time with family and friends?

It’s wonderful how holidays “help” us to remember how important certain people are in our lives.  But there is no problem in celebrating love, life, and family any day of the year.  It’s always nice to let our friends and family know how much they mean to us.  Whether it’s a bouquet of flowers, a thank you card, or a simple phone call, let’s spread the love throughout the year.
