Our house is bilingual. Well, somewhat. My husband is a native of Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish. I majored in Spanish in college but I’m not fluent. I can hold an okay conversation. I think it’s really important for our children to be bilingual. Especially when such a large part of our population is now Hispanic. We have both taught the boys a little bit of Spanish but not enough for them to be bilingual.
I’ve been looking for different programs that would help to teach our boys Spanish and hold their attention long enough for them to learn it!
