The Glamorous WAHM loves hosting giveaways, but those who keep up with me know that sometimes I just have to talk about real life ya’ll! It’s no secret that I am a Christian. I have been doing really well with reading my bible, praying, and staying in communion with God. But do any of you have those family members that just puts your faith to the test?
I am a hot head by nature and I have never been one to bite my tongue. But right now I’m biting it so hard I swear I feel a trickle of blood coming out the side of my mouth! I have a particular family member that is the most dramatic and manipulative person I believe I have ever known. They always operate with a motive I have their number. I’ve called them on it a few times but due to a certain circumstance, for the most part, I have to keep the peace.
I just don’t think grown folk should have to play games. It is rediculous. And I am called to be the light of Christ to this person? Well Jesus you are going to have to help me with that one! Iwould really like to pick up the phone, call this family member, and tell them a thing or fifteen. Instead I will go to youtube and find a video from my favorite Gospel recording artist Kirk Franklin. I’m not going to give in to the the “old” me. I am new in Christ so I choose to praise the Lord instead! Enjoy the video and praise him with me yall! Turn your speakers up. This one is good!
We all have these people who try our faith sometimes. All we can do is pray for them. I have a friend who makes me so mad. I started really praying that God would change ME and my attitude about her. When I saw her I would start praying, “she is a child of God just like I am and she is beautiful in your sight”.She didn’t change immediately but my attitude did towards her and I saw the demon spirit that was manipulating her and begin to rebuke him in Jesus name. He had to GO. The scriptures say that we do not fight against flesh and blood. I will be praying for you.
You must be talking about one of my family members LoL however their family is in church every time the doors are opened and they are some of the most self rightous and self centered people you will ever meet, for circumstances…a few of them i have to keep the peace and bite my tongue (what’s left of it) i can’t understand why they choose to be such hipocrits by their church attendence and hurt people in the family the way they do and be okay with it, I can’t stand people like that I have to much respect for God to treat people the way they do. So yes, I think all families have a little somebody in them sucking up the joy. : (

Lori…unfortunately Christians can be some of the meanest folk around. Isn’t that sad? I know I battle a hot temperament. I don’t want it but I have it and I am asking God to take it away. But every time I make some progress here comes this family member to test it out! I asked Jesus “How am I supposed to live in this world full of so much evil?” He answered, “I have overcome the world.”
The Lord will work it out in due time. We all have people like his in our lives. Although it is difficult, we are require to show love (love is patient/love is kind).

I heard on Christian radio today regarding Ephesians 5 and when you have difficulty with people or situations. “…giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
I believe God has been preparing you before this day. It’s not a coincidence that you’re so prayed up that mess has found you.
As also shared in that sermon, “be filled with the Spirit.” It’s a command of the Lord.
